A Pawnee County teacher faces charges two counts of rape for her alleged involvement with a male student in 2010.

Melissa Dawn Anson, 42, was charged May 1 with two counts of second-degree rape for the alleged incidents with the student, who was 18 when the alleged crimes occurred.

Anson was employed at Woodland High School when the offense took place, where the alleged victim was a student.
