Calvin Dean Williams knew what he was doing on that early morning when he crept into an unlocked hospice building, climbed on top of a dying 86-year-old woman and sexually assaulted her.
The problem was, he couldn’t stop himself.
Ninth Circuit Solicitor Scarlett Wilson said the 56-year-old homeless man explained it best in an interview after the attack: “When he has to have it, he has to have it,” Wilson said. “We cannot afford for him to be among us.”
Circuit Judge Markley Dennis agreed and found Williams guilty but mentally ill on charges of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and first-degree burglary.
